The way speed cameras normally operate is to give the guy way off in the background the ticket.

Wouldn’t you be pissed if you got a mail out ticket with a picture of a bird? lol

Yep, I think cameras are fine, though I think it’s important to make sure limits are set appropriately, and that fines are lower (if you can catch way more speeders, you don’t need a heavy fine for deterrence). As a public safety measure they can be a force for good, but there’s no need to have them also be a force for revenue.
